In this project, we were required to design a furniture for old folks to have a more comfortable environment. There were 2 persons per group in this assignment. The furniture should fulfill few requirements like the ergonomics standard, the comfort standard and convenience. My team mate, Farah and I were discussing all along to create a suitable furniture for the old folk that we had interviewed with. Finally, we came out with something simple and elegant which helps her with her backbone and legs. It is made in red color as it is a lucky color for the tradition of our old folk, Mrs. Tan. Through the project, I deeply understand how the old folks home work and how they feel there.

Project 2
In this project, we were required to build an old folks home. The site chosen was a park at PJS 7. Buildings and places like Hindu temple, residence houses, basketball court and so on could be found on the site there. The building requirement comes with a minimum of 2 storeys high and a maximum of 3 storeys. We went to the site and start taking some pictures and making some basic analysis of the site. Also, we were required to make a site model in our respective group with a scale of 1:200. It took us for few nights to finish it as it must be detailed and neat. For me, I have designed the old folks home based on the concept of reminiscent and I had used water ripples as the main object to make it tangible. After 2 interim, i made it to the final. I received a lot of useful comments from the lecturer and they are really helpful in solving my problem.
