COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVE PROJECT
In this project we have decided to do the community-based services that exposed to the real-community living in real-life situation. We have work together in a group of 5-6 members for creating a specific portable and tangible product to the respective community that we have selected from the beginning of the project which the theme is Survival Kit or Comfort living amenities for vulnerable community that basically attached to the homeless community majority. We are required to design a products based on their specific needs and requirement on a selected place. We at first selected the site in Petaling street where there is a lot of homeless people stay around at the area but at last we changed to a homeless shelter in Jalan Pahang that have made a changes on the idea of a shelter to a resting garden which is become more useful and reliable than others. Overally the project progress until the submission, I have learnt on how to develop relevant communication skills for collaborative work with community that will make contributions to society with a strong sense of social responsibility and being able to work effectively as a team to complete the finalist product for the respective community. Being helpful in creating something meaningful and reliable product for them in the specific place makes me feel satisfied and enjoy all the progress of completing the assignment.
